I was surprised that some people felt that apples might be bad for you even in small quantities.
Their idea was that they were acidic and would weaken the teeth. As long as you eat things in moderation and at the right times most foods are OK.
One lady we met said she would let her chilled apple warm up in the sun because her teeth were sensitive. I couldn’t leave her there so we talked about alternating her soft-headed electric brush with a soft manual toothbrush and changing toothbrushes every 6 weeks if she only used the one type. She was using sensodyne toothpaste and listerine mouthrinse which also contributed to her sensitivity, so we suggested a change to colgate total toothpaste and fluorigard daily rinse.
She was possibly the happiest person alive after we spoke and it made the whole exercise worthwhile.
